Note This  specimen  is  also  the  holotype  of  Viola  brevistipullata  (Franch.  &  Sav.)  W.  Becker  var.  minor  Nakai.  When  Nakai  proposed  V.  flaviflora,  a  specimen  from  Mt.  Naeba  collected  by  M.  Kishida  (2  May  1939)  was  cited  as  the  holotype  and  this  specimen  was  regarded  as  the  paratype  by  him.  But  this  treatment  is  not  acceptable  under  the  present  Code.
