I would like to express my heartfelt thanks here for the cooperation we received
from many people both on and off campus for "Digital Museum 2000," which
is a special exhibition of the University Museum, the University of Tokyo.
In particular, I would like to express my deep appreciation to Prof. Masaji Hamashima,
Prof. Toyohiro Nishimoto, Prof. Fumio Adachi, Prof. Mineo Imamura, Prof. Takehisa
Udagawa, Associate Prof. Masaharu Nagashima, and Research Associate Takuji Suzuki
of the National Museum of Japanese History, who greatly cooperated with us when we
conducted joint digital museum experiments. I would also like to express special
thanks to Prof. Keiji Imamura, Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, the University
