Scottish Architecture and Design Center /1995

- The building not set on the ground.
- It becomes part of the ground.
- Landscape with green trees as cityedge.
- The city-court surrounded by the forest.
- Square and transparent plate offer events and interaction in many ways.
- Transparent box including the microcity with fully sunshine, under the ground.
- A plate gathering lights on the ground.
- Theater box with transparency.
- Floating seat, screen, and projector.
- Luminous theater to the night.
- A lightning square in the square.
- Representing border and continuity of the city.
- Mixture and echo of informations.
- Connection of events, encounter, and interaction.
- Landscape of plaza, street, and the site turns into the forest gateway to the city centre.
- The existence of the architecture is less, rather the most primitive form that was led by functions appears as phenomena.
- A sign to the existence beyond our eyes on the earth forming an environmental system within city and communicating with the sky.
- Making the place of communication in the community, not an architecture, but a park.
- The building is not a building in the traditional sense in that becomes part of the landscape.
- The building should express an attitude about society and about design's role in the society, and how the city of edinburgh meet the future.
- We sought to create a design which gives image and expression to the fundamental changes which underly our culture today and which are its irrepressible promise for the future.
- The abstract form of this building in it's natural surroundings strikes one as being clearly man-made.
- On the other hand, the reflections on the transparent floor put it to a tender relationship with the sky and surrounding trees.

Minimalist House /1990

This house sites in an exclusive residential area, on a long, narrow site running north-south. A 3.6 meter grid was used to generate configurations of square and cuboid forms. Square vertical surfaces are arranged continuously within a 25.2 meter hollow culvert box enclosing all the private room functions.

The repetition of positive square walls articulates cuboid spaces, which are linked by tunnels formed of continuous negative square walls.

A gallery housing the client's two cherished classic cars in partitioned from the house by transparent glass screens; its sky roof opens like the sunroof of a car. Negating the visual world and art of the past, the square expresses the primacy of spirit over matter. The Minimalist House represents a tentative proposal for design as the minimal creative human activity.
