Locality INDONESIA: Central  Seram.  Manusela  National  Park:  along  a  trail  (Jalan  Pipileina)  from  Gunung  (Mt.)  Sinaunia  to  Maraina  in  the  Murkele  mountain  range[Manusela  Valley,  northern  slope  of  Murkele  Ridge  down  to  Pipileina  Cave  (2030  m),  Kecamatan  (District)  Tehoru],  2000-2190  m  alt.

Note On  steep  slope  in  deep  shade  in  montane  forest;  trunk  10  m  tall,  leaf  2.5  m  long,  stipe  short,
lamina  narrowed  downward.
Note  2:  "Holotypus"  stamped  on  the  sheet.
Note  3:  "sp.  nov."  handwritten  on  the  label.
Note  4:  identical  to  the  picture  on  the  protologue.
