November 4,2002 Mark Dion made his second visit to Japan and inspected the preparations of the exhibition;plans of exhibition spaces, selection of the exhibits,the contents of the catalogue and other things.On the eveningof November 6,at a lecture titled a-Mark Dion's Chamber of Curiosities,,held at the Un1versity Museum's Muse Hall,the artist reported retrospectively his activities ln front of more than 100attendants including the University's professors,researchers and students,museum volunteers and journalists. After the lecture there were enthusiastic questions and answers between researchers and the artist on the theme of "Art & Science" There was a tangible excitement in the hall.
